After carefully considering the matter, the Board of Health respect-
fully recommends that the City Council take up this issue and formulate a program
which will eliminate this nuisance, such program including the weeds on vacant lots
and corners.

The Mayor referred the letter to the Council as a committee. of the, whole,
and the Mayor instructed the Clerk to acknowledge the letter.
ADJOURNMENT. The motion was made by Alderman Kehe, and seconded by
Hansen, to adjourn. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupmn the Mayor
declared the motion carried, and the Council regularly adjourned.

CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order by Mayor G. Walter
Pflughaupt, who presided with Aldermen Johnson, Hansen, Wolf, Kehe, Baines, Harm,
McKay, and Morava responding to roll call. Aldermen Vavrinek and Halverson were
absent the entire meeting.
OFFICIAL REPORTS. The City Clerk submitted the reports of Building
Inspector, F. Scharringhausen; Electrical Inspector, A. Rieck; City Treasurer,
H. J. Ahbe; and City Clerk, Henrich, for the month of September. -
The City Clerk read the following report of City Attorney, Frank

Please be advised that the Mihala case was set by Judge Prystalski
to be heard on October 20th. Proofs will be offered and it is hoped a decree will
be entered. There is no contest in this matter.
The Hunt case was set Illy Judge Reid to be heard on October 24th.
This matter will be contested.
