He informed the Council that the City should purchase the tracings as they were valuable to the City and the price was very low. The motion was made by Alderman Napieralski and seconded by McKay that the City Clerk communicate with Mr. Jenkins telling him -that we have made no provision in our ordinance to purchase these tracings, but would purchase them at a future date. The Motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor informed the Council that they would receive notice from the City Clerk for a call of special meeting for Friday, July 26th, at 9:3Q P. M. to give consideration to the proposal of the Aluminum Company of America to erect a plant adjacent fiito the City of Des Plaines. , BIDS ON NEW POLICE CAR: The motion w as_made by Alderman Johnson and seconded by Scharringhanwen that the City Clerk advertise bids in both local newspapers for a new police car. Bids to be opened at the August 5th, 1946; Council meeting. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the "payor declared the motion carried.
