Now that your Committee on Water together with our engineer have worked out the preliminaries, your Committee recommends that our City Attorney and our City Engineer, together with the City of Park Ridge Attorney and Engineer draw up plans and specifications for a site and the cost of a reservoir meter and pumping equip- ment to supply the .city of Des Plaines with Lake Michigan water in case of emergency. It is further agreed that the City of Des Plaines will have a pumping charge every day as long as the City will have water in the reservoir. The price of water is being withheld for the present. Your Committee has asked for 500,000 gallons of water per 24 hours in case of emergency only. This does not mean that we need a 500,000 gallon reservoir.
