BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proposed improvement consist of furnishing and installing ornamental street lights to replace lights removed during the work of widening (Pearson Street) Arterial Street No. 5, and shall be designated as Section 6.1 -CS. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars for the improvement of said section from the municipalitg's allotment of Motor Fuel Tax funds. That the said work shall be done by contract. TOINSHIP GARAGE IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT: Alderman Campagna then asked whether or not the Board of Main Township would be permitted to proceed with the construction of the proposed.Township Service Garage under Building Permit No. 983. Frank F. Scharringhausen, Building Inspector, reported that the Township Supervisor las informed him that the project has been abandoned. However, the motion was rnade by Alderman Campagna and seconded by Alderman Lemke that the Council go on record as definitely opposing the erection of the proposed garage on the site specified in the Building Permit. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. 238 PROTESTS STORAGE YARD IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT: The Clerk then read the following letter: Dec. 18, 1939 Building and Plats Committee: Gentlemen: My attention has been called to a condition existing on property adjoining the City Hall. The property of Mr. Anthony Foydl, 1418 Jefferson Street being used as contractor's supply yard and contrary to ordinance. Recently large quantities of building material were unloaded on these premises and being piled up for storage. There has been no application for a permit to build at this site. Therefore, it comed under the zoning ordinance violation and is a matter to have enforcement, as this condition has hampered the sale of adjoining property. By Building Inspector, Frank F.
