07/17/1939162 CONTINUE DELIBERATION ON PICKETING ORDINANCE: Consideration and discussion was then resumed regarding the proposed ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PICKETING OF PLACES OF BUSINESS BY PERSONS WHO ARE NOT PAST, PRESENT OR EXPECTANT EMPLOYEES OF THE PLACE OF BUSINESS BEING PICKETED. The motion was made by•lderman Lemke and seconded by Dopheide to pass this proposed ordinance as read. The Mayor put the question and the Clerk called the roll with the following results: Ayes; Aldermen Carroll, Johnson, Henrich, Loos, Dopheide, Carlson, Friott and Lemke. Mays; Aldermen Schwanbeck and Campagna. The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried and ordinance passed. Mayor Ahbe thereupon approved the said ordinance by affixing his signature which vas attested by Edgar J.Friedrich, City Clerk. The motion was then made by Alderman Dopheide and seconded by Henrich to order the Clerk to cause this ordinance published in the Des Plaines Journal. DOG ORDINANCE: The Clerk then read for first reading a proposed ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO LICENSE AND REGULATE THE KEEPING OF DOGS AND DOG KENNELS IN THE CITY OF DES PLAINES, COOK COUN- TY, ILLINOIS, AND REPEALING SECTIONS 1113 TO 1128 BOTH INCLUSIVE OF ARTICLE I, AND SECTIONS 1129 TO 1137, BOTH IN- CLUSIVE OF ARTICEL II OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF DES PLAINES OF 1928. 1.6 ,1 filed Mayor Ahbe ordered this proposed ordinance,/for second reading. INSPECTION FOR RIVERVIEW STREETS: Mayor Ahbe then announced the appointment of Charles 1'orberg as the City's Inspector for the project of covering the Riverview streets with "black -top" (MFT Section 4.1 and 5.1 CB), the rate of pay to be $1.00 per hour.
