By reason of the power vested in me by the Statute of the State of Illinois, I hereby veto the said ordinance passed by the CityCouncil September 6, 198, for the reason that in my opinion, the passage of said ordinance is contrary to the best interest of the majority of citizens of the City of Des Plaines and the action taken by the City Council is incon- sistent with its previous action which had been taken after a grat deal of thought and consideration. And further, it is my belief that the action of the Council in turning about and revision its previous action will set a bad precedent not only with ordinances affecting the regula- tion of liquor but also with respect to other ordl:'.nances passed by 61._ City of Des Pl.:: ines with respect t9 the regula- tion of other types of business.
