Since world conditions are in such a serious state and at least three of the worlds most powerful dictators have vowed to eliminate democracy as an institution, the future of our form of government must be seriously considered. Most of us believe that our method of self government is a proved success in spite of many shortdomings which we all appreciate. But it can only continue to be effective as long as we have a large body of intelligent voters who take their voting citizen ship seriously and make an effort to use their ballot for the best interests of the country as they see it. If our government ever fails it will be because of the indifference of our voting citizens. With these thoughts in mind a meeting of repre- sentatives of various civic minded organizations is being called for Thureday, January 27, 8:00 P.M. at the Des Plaines City Hall Council Chamber. Ire hope your organization will agree to become a part of this movement and will send a representative to this meeting. SIGNED: E. R.
