City Council of Des Plaines
Mr. George W. -Kinder, Mayor
Dear Sir:
It has come to our attention that the office
of the "Illinois State Employment Service" located
in the Des Plaines State Bank Bldg. has been temporarily
closed and that it will probably not be reopened here.
The plan is to move it into or near Chicago.
The office has served the people of the
suburbs northwest of Chicago especiallywell. Many
jobs have been located at no cost to employer or employee.
Do you believe that it would be detrimental to the best
interests of this territory, ie, Cook County northwest
of Chicago to move this office away from its present
and natural rocation?
If so, we suggest that you write Dr.A.H.R.
Atwood, on your stationery, and express your protest
or at least your views on the subject. A -suggested
letter is enclosed. lou may change the thought or
wording as you desire.
Your attention and immediate action will be
qppreciated.
