The motion was then made by Alderman Bishop and
seconded by Neal that the name "The Des Plaines JournalH
be inserted into the blank space in the pros^G :_ ordinance
left blank for the purpose of designating t Ic medium of publi-
cation, and, that with such insertion made, this ordinance
be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the question
and the roll was called by the Clerk w ith the following result:
Ayes; Aldermen Ahbe, r'flughaupt, Fulle, Huxmann, Bishop,
Frederick, Neal, Schwanbeck and Meinshausen. Nays: None.
(Alderman Carroll was absent.) The Mayor thereupon declared
the motion carried and the ordinance passed and adopted.
Mayor Kinder then signed the original copy of this
ordinance in approval thereof. Edgar J.Friedrich, City Clerk,
attested the Mayor's signature and impressed the corporate
seal of the City thereon.
The motion was made by Alderman Bishop and seconded
by Pulle to adjourn. The motion was voted upon by acclamation
whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the Council
regularly adjourned.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor
George W.Kinder presiding, with Aldermen Abbe, Pflughaupt,
Tulle, Huxmann , Bishop, Frederick, Neal, -Avanbeck and
Meinshausen responding to the roll call. Alderman Carroll
was absent during this roll call, but arrived shortly
thereafter.

The motion was made by Alderman Pflughaupt and seconded
by Meinshausen to approve both the minutes of the regular
Council Meeting held February 18,1935 as well as the minutes
of the Adjourned Council Meeting held February 25, 1935 as
written. The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon
the Mayor declared the motion carried and the said minutes approved.
TREASURER'S SALARY:
The Clerk then read the following proposed ordinance

FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING:
Mayor Kinder, asked that Finance Committee meet some-
time before Monday, March 11, in order to prepare the 1935
Appropriation ordinance.
PAVING LvE STREET AND ROUTE #58;
Mayor Kinder reported that he is awaiting word from
the State Highway Department regarding a plan by which both the
underpass of Golf "olf Road at Cumberland, as well as the widening

and paving of Lee Street might be compietPri in the near future.
ADJOURNMENT:
The motion was made by Alderman Bishop and seconded
by Meinshausen to adjourn to Monday, March 11,1535 at 8:00 P M.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the Mayor de-

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Mayor George
`t.Kinder, presiding. The roll was called by the Clerk
with Aldermen Ahbe, Carroll, Pflughaupt, Fulle, Frederick,
Neal, Schwanbeck and Meinshausen responding thereto. Aldermen
hu mann and Bishop reported for the meeting shortly atter the
roll call.
CIVIL SERVICE ELECTION:
The motion was made by Alderman Frederick and seconded
by Neal to authorize the Mayor to appoint a canvassing board
of three members, and that said canvassing board proceed to
canvass the returns of the Special "Civil Service" Election
held Friday, March 8th,1935. TheIayor put the question and
the motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the Mayor
declared the motion carried.
Mayor Kinder then appointed Aldermen Pflughaupt,
Carroll and Ahbe to serve as said canvassing board.
After some time Alderman Pflughaupt,of the board
appointed to canvass the returns of the Special "Civil Service"
Election held March 8th,1935, submitted the following report:
