03/04/1935482 The motion was then made by Alderman Bishop and seconded by Neal that the name "The Des Plaines JournalH be inserted into the blank space in the pros^G :_ ordinance left blank for the purpose of designating t Ic medium of publi- cation, and, that with such insertion made, this ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the question and the roll was called by the Clerk w ith the following result: Ayes; Aldermen Ahbe, r'flughaupt, Fulle, Huxmann, Bishop, Frederick, Neal, Schwanbeck and Meinshausen. Nays: None. (Alderman Carroll was absent.) The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried and the ordinance passed and adopted. Mayor Kinder then signed the original copy of this ordinance in approval thereof. Edgar J.Friedrich, City Clerk, attested the Mayor's signature and impressed the corporate seal of the City thereon. CIVIL SERVICE ELECTION: The motion was made by Alderman Frederick and seconded by Neal to authorize the Mayor to appoint a canvassing board of three members, and that said canvassing board proceed to canvass the returns of the Special "Civil Service" Election held Friday, March 8th,1935. TheIayor put the question and the motion was voted upon by acclamation, whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. Mayor Kinder then appointed Aldermen Pflughaupt, Carroll and Ahbe to serve as said canvassing board.
