Mayor Kinder and Carter Jenkins, engineer, re-
ported that they wefe successful in arranging a meeting
with the State Committee of the Federal Public Works Admin-
istration and were assured that without a doubt a Federal
loan could be arranged for the construction of a reservoir
and im roving the City's water system, provided the City
acquiri ownership of the Cater well. It was pointed out
however that the government could not finance the purchase
of the Cater Well.
Carter Jenkins, engineer, further reported that
several aldermen have inquired as to how much additional, a
plant for complete treatment of our water, would cost. He
stated that accurate information regarding all phases of
this question could be gathered for approximately $100.00,

for the Federal Public Works Administration would be $900.00
instead of $800.00 as previously appropriated. The motion
