each Alderman more than 24 hours before the time o.f the meeting: -

Dear Sir: -
Upon order of Mayor Charles Rommerl there will be
a special meeting of the City. Council, at 8:00 P. M. on
Tuesday, November 15th, 1933, in the Citjr Clerk's Office.
The purpose of the meeting is to meet the Library
.Board, and dispose of other important business.

P. S. This meeting is to take the place of the meeting
tentatively arranged for Monday.
The meeting .was called to order by Mayor Charles la merl,
rit Aldermen Ahbe, Collet, Pflughaupt, Dean and heinshausen respond-
ing to the roll call. The Clerk then reported that, inasmuch as there
were only five Alderman present,' there was no qua.rum. The Mayor there-
upon declared that there was no quorumn and adjourned the meeting.
TheMayor, the Clerk and such Aldermen as were present, as well
as Aldermen Hiamann .and Enzenbacher who arrived later in the evening
then received the Finance Committee of the Library -3oard, Considiing of
Mr. Erich Schalk, Mrs. E.' Umbach, and Mr. . Kenneth Downing, and in an
informal manner discussed with them the financial problems of the
Library. Since no action could be taken by the Council at this time,
it was generally agreed upon that the Library -oard present its request
to the Council in the form of a letter.
