Your Committee on Police and. License had a meeting
June 10th, with reference to the resignation submitted by the
Chief of Pollee.
Chief Wegner was'present at this meeting and informed
the Committee that his resignation should be accepted for the
good of the department.
Inasmuch as there is more or less friction between
Cheif Wegner and the State Police Officers, and whereas the
State Police desire to make their headquarters in Des Plaines,
and by so doing more State cases would be heard in Des Plaines,
it would greatly be to our advantage to co-operate with them.
Therefore, your Committee recommends that the resign-
ation of Chief Wegner be accepted.
