The MINUTES OF THE ADIOURNED MEETING OF
TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES
PLAINES HELD IN THE cm.= CHAMBERS
ON THE 23d DAY ONcJUNE,AD. 1930. AT

Mayor Humeri called the meeting to order with Alderman
Collet, Ahbe, heesch, Rinder, Schlagel, Wettin, Lacey, talabb and
Enzenbacher answering to roll call. Alderman Ouster being absent.
First Reading of:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DEED OF DEDICATION
FOR THE EXTnTION OF PROSPECT AVE. ANDAMETT
STREET.
Same was laid over for second reading.
Alderman Ahbe moved that the police Department be in-
structed to remove the sign errected by the Linoo,111 ,Tavern on the
Kuffke property on East Miner at. AiderMan seconded this motion
and the roll was called, with the following resultAyes Collet,
.Ahbe, Heesch, Schlagel, Wettin, Lacey, Rnabb and linaenbscher.
Alderman !Under voting .ay, whereon the mayOr declared the motion

Alderman Wettin brought up the matter of purchasing caps
and pants for the Municipal Band.- he submitted vartous prices
following which Alderman-Retsch moved that the Band vommittee be
given power to act in,the matter of purchasing uniforms for the
Band. Boys. -Alderman Lioilet seconded this motion and the soil was
called with the following result: Ayes Collet, Ahbe, Heesch,
Kinder, Schlagel, Wettin, Lacey,-Rnabo and Ainsenbacher. None voting
'Nay the Mayor declared the motion carried.
At the suggestion of Alderman Schlagel the City Clerk
was instructed' to write Mr. Sigwalt asking him to correct the
spellingof Des Plaines on the front of the new Pott Office.
'There being no.further business to come before the
Council at this time on motion of Alderman wettin, seconded by
Alderman heesch and carried by a Unamouis vote the Council adjourned
to:Meet again in an adjourned meeting to be held Monday evening
June 30th, 1930 at the Hour of nine o'clock W. M.

Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Schiagel, tinder, wettin, Lacey, Anabb and
4nzenbacher answering to roll call. Alderman ouster being abesent.

Sam* was laid over for second reading.
Alderman Ahbe moved that the Police Department be in-
strdcted to remove the Lincoln Tavern sign errected on the Aiufke
property provided same was not removed during the present week.
Alderman Collet seconded this motion and the roll was called with
the following result. Ayes Collet, Ahbeeesch, 6chlagel, Wettin
Knabb, Lacey and Enzenbacher. Alderman,tc4ner voting hay 'Whereon
the Mayor declared the motion carried. :z4.P'
Alderman wettin as a member of the Municipal band Committee
requested that the members of the Council consider the purchase of
Trousers and Caps for the members of the Municipal band. He estimated
that the cost of these would be between *lb° and *200. After some
disdussion Alderman Heesch moved that the Municipal Band Committee
be given authority to purchase such uniforms as they might select
for the members of the Municipal band. Alderman uoilet seconded this
motion and the roll was called with. the following result. Ayes
Alderman Collet,Ahbt, nee-sch, hinder, 6chlagei, -Lacey, Wettin,
Khabb-and Enzenbacher* hone -voting may the Mayor -declared the
motion carried..
AiderMan 6chlageI moved that the City Clerk be instructed
to write the Sigwalt Lumber and. Coal Company asking them to correct
the Spelling of the word Des Plaines on the front of the mew Post Office
building. Alderman Lacey seconded this motion and the same carried
by vote of acclamation.
There being no further business to come before the Council
at this time on motion of Alderman Wettin seconded by Alderman
heesdh and carried by unamuious tote the council adjourned to meet
in an adjourned meeting to be held Monday evening June SOth, 1930
at the hour of 8 O'cilick P. M.
