This Special Meeting of the City Council was called
pursant to the following letter;

City Council to convene in the Council Chambers on Wednes-
day evening February, 26th, 1930 at the hour of 7:30 P. M.
for the purpose of considering the passage of a Resolution
setting the time and place of the annual City Election.

Mayor Hammerl called the,meeting to order with Alder-
men Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster, Schlagel, Kinder, Schroeder,
Lacey and Enzenbacher answering to Roll Call. Alderman Knabb
being absent.
The following Ordinance was given first reading
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A POLLING PLACE
AND FIXING THE HOURS FOR THE OPENING AND
CLOSING THEREOF, IN THE CITY OF DES PLAINES.
Aldermnlanlagel moved that the ordinance be put on for passage.
Alderm onded this motion and the roll was called with the
following Pesult "Ayes" Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Buster, Kinder,
Schlagel, Schroeder, Enzenbacher and Lacey, Whereon the Mayor
declared the motion carried and the ordinance before the Council
for passage.
Alderman Schlagei moved that the ordinance be
passed as read. Alderman Schroeder seconded this motion
and the roll was called with the following result *Ayes"
Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster, Schlagei, Schroeder, itinder„
Lacey, and snzenbacher. Whereon the .ayor declared the
Ordinance passed as read.
Alderman tieesch moved that the City Clerk be directed
to Publishthe following notice according to statue. Alder-
man Schlagel seconded this motion and the same carried by vote
of acclamation.
CITY ELECTION NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the lbth day
of April, 1930, in the City of Des Plaines, County of
Cook and State of Illinois, an 1,,lection will be held for
the following officers:
ONE ALDERMAN FOR EACH WARD.
Said election will be held at the following places:
First Wards
At the Des Plaines Motor Sales,
1500 Miner Street, for the
voters of the oirst Ward.
Second Ward:
At the American Legion Hall, 722
Pearson Street, for the
voters of the Second Ward.
Third. Ward:
At George Whiteomb's Garage, Graceland
Avenue, for the -voters of
the Third Ward.
Fourth Ward:
At the West End Provision Co.,
1134 Priarie Avenue, for the
voters of the Fourth Ward.
Fifth Ward:
At Wegner's Grocery Store, 1630 Keeney
Avenue for the voters of said
Fifth Ward Residing north of
Oakton Boulevard, and
At the Rudolph Building, Prospect Avenue
and Mannheim Road, for the
Voters of aid Fifth Ward re-
siding south of Oakton Boule,
Vard.
The Polls of said election will be opened at six: o'clock
A. M. and will be closed at four o'clock P. M. on said
Election day.

Council at this time on motion duly made seconded and carried
