Referring to the attached letter from Mr.
I. G. Wille, wish to advise that I have checked this
matter up, and I have found that Yr. Wille is correct.
Installments i5, 6, 7 and 8 of Special Assessment
1/-60 have been paid twice, and he is therefore entitled
to a refund of 4146.42, as outlined in his communica-
tion. All the above payments have been turned over
to the Oity Treasurer.

Alderman Heesch moved that a warrant be issued to William G. Ville
for the amount of 4146.42 payable out of Special Assessment Funds
in No. Des Plaines 60. Alderman Knabb seconded this motion and
the roll was called with the following results: Ayes, Aldermen.
Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster, Kinder, Schlagel, Lacey, Schroeder,
Knabb and Enzenbacher. None voting Nay the Mayor declared the
motion carried and directed that a warrant be issued.

Alderman Heesch moved that the Ordinance be placed before the City
Council for passage on first reading. Alderman Knabb seconded this
motion and the roll was called with the following results: Ayes,
Aldermen Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster, Kinder, Schlagel, Lacey%
Schroeder, Knabb and Enzenbacher. None voting Nay the Mayon
declared the motion carried.
Alderman Heesch then moved that the Ordinance above
mentioned be passed as read. Alderman Knabb seconded this motion
and the roll was called with the following results; Ayes, Aldermen
Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster, Kinder, Schlag4,Lacey, Schroeder,
Knabb and Enzenbacher. None voting Nay the Mayor declared the
motion carried and the ordinance passed as read.
Alderman Schroeder brought up the matter of annexation
of the subdivision known as Park Addition and stated that progress
on the signing of the proper petitions was going forward slowly,
and that no doubt same would be ready for the next Council meeting.
11±. Svoboda was present and addressed the Council for a
few minutes on the question of a building line being established
for the property between Ellinwood Avenue and Prairie Avenuelipn
Lee Street. The matter was referred to the Public Works, Fire,
Building and City Plats Committeetith the Engineer for a report
on same at the next Council meeting.
Alderman Ahbe took up the matter of annexation of the
Park Addition property and stated hethought the people would be
more interested in signing a ptitition for annexation if the
question could be discussed in a public meeting. Alderman
Enzenbacher then moved that a public hearing on this matter be
held with the property owners in Park Addition on the date of
September 30th, 1929. Alderman Collet seconded this motion and
the same carried by vote of acclamation.
The Chairman of the Finance Committee submitted the
following resolution: -

the following results: Ayes, Aldermen Collet, Ahbe, Heesch, Suster,
Kinder, Schlagel, Lacey, Schroeder, Knabb and Enzenbacher. None
voting Nay the Mayor declared the motion carried and the resolution
adopted as read, and further directed that the proper warrants be
drawn against the City Treasurer.
Mayor Hammerl then appointed Garfield Miller as a member
of the Board of Appeals to succeed Joseph D. Mayorga resigned.
Alderman Suster moved that the appointment be confirmed. Alderman
Lacey seconded this motion and Vie same carried by vote of
acclamation.
There being no further business to come before the City
Council at this time on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously
carried the meeting adjourned.
