1110195274°. 11/3/52 Mayor Meyer reported on a letter he received from the Committers Ass'f. of Chicago regarding their opposing the increase of railroad fares. The City of Park Ridge contributed $250.00 and the Association desired Des Plaines to contribute. The Mayor thought it may be illegal for the City to contribute and thought the people interested should organize to get funds. Be requested the local papers to give publicity to same. Motion to Adiourn. The motion was made by Alderman Morava and seconded by Davis to adjourn to Monday November 10, 1952, at 8:00 P.M. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried and the meeting=adjourned to Monday November 10, 1952. Otto W. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kenneth G. Meyer who presided with Alderman Hansen, Davis, Wolf, Behrel, Schallawitz, McKay and Auck„ responding to roll call. The Council discussed several chapters of the code. Adjournment. The motion was made by Alderman Auck and seconded by Behrel to adjourn. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kenneth G. Meyer who presiced with Alderman Hansen, Davis, Wolf, Tures, Behrel, Schallawitz, McKay, Morava, and Auck responding to roll call. Approval of Minutes. The motion was made by Alderman Hansen and seconded Morava to approve the minutes of the adjourned meeting October 16 and 27, 1952 and the regular meeting of November 3, 1952. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried. Reports of Officials. The Clerk submitted the report of City Treasurer for October, 1952. Approval of bills. Alderman McKay Chairman of the Finance Committee presented the following proposed resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES PLAINES THAT THE FOLLOWING BTT.TS ARE DUE AND PAYABLE AND THAT THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK BE AND ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO MAKE PAYMENT FOR SAME. (chedule of bills place before each Alderman and affixed to the resolution and on file with Cith Clerk.) The motion was made by Alderman McKay and seconded by Morava to adopt the proposed resolution. The Mayor put the question and the clerk called the roll with the following result. Ayes: Alderman Hansen, Davis, Wolf, Tures, Behrel, Schallawitz, McKay, Morava and Auck. Nays: None. The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried.
