I have made a careful checkup of the latest statutory
provisions regarding annexation of territory by a. municipality. There
is no provision in the law for involuntary annexation, that is, annexation
without consent of the owner, excepting only where the property in question
is 60 acres or less and is wholly surrounded by the sunioipality or is
surrounded by the municipality and a lake or river.

lying between the original Oliter Salinger Subdivision and the city

It is our understanding that the final preliminary draft
will be sent to you by the Plan Commission. We will appreciate, if it is
in order, your approving this proposed subdivision subject to the-
preparation of the formal plat by a registered land surveyor in confofmity
with the draft of the subdivision submitted to you by the Plan Commission..
