PASS REZONING ORDINANCE * "RAND AND MINER." The Clerk read the follow-
ing letter:
Mayor and City Council,
Des Plaines, Illinois.
November 1, 1948.
Gentlemen:
You have referred to me the objections filed by certain property owners
protesting the re -zoning from Commeroa41 to B Residence area certain properties in
the Phillipine Ahbe Subdivision on Miner and Rand Roads.
From an examination of the written objections filed, I find that the
objections constitute more than 20% of the frontage proposed to be re -zoned. It
will, therefore, be necessary when the ordinance comes up for final passage, to have
a two-thirds vote of the council. That means that it will require 7 votes in favor
of the passage of the ordinance to make the change recommended by the Zoning Board
of Appeals.

vised Ordinances of the City of Des,Plaines, 1928, Chapter #8,Article#2, Section

Recommend publicity and enforcement of this Ordinance.
Yours very truly,
