CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the City Council
Qf the City of Des Plaines was called to
order by Mayor Herbert H. Behrel at
8:05 P.M. The meeting opened with a prayer by Rev. John McLorraine,
pastor of st. Emily's church, followed by the pledge of allegiance to
the flag.
HOLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following alder-

minutes of the regular meeting of February 21, 1966, be anproved as
written. Alderman Rateike requested that absentees be shmm in the £o~l call.

OPEN BIDS: It was moved by Alrterman Figard and seconded
by Aldcr~an Martin that the City Clerk be
authorized and directed to open the bids
recei~ed for the iurchase of two automohiles for the Police J1epartment.

Sewer Connections~--
City Attorney DiLeonarili renorted that
representatives of School District #63 have
met with Mayor Behrel and himself to discuss
~ a request for the City to serve the propttsed
new elementary school with sewer service. In an effort to save the
School District money, the City Attorney suggested the Council vote
this ,evening on said ~equest and stated that he is convinccrl the City
would riot be incurring-any Jegal liability insofar as jnfringjng on
some other companies ri~hts. After considerable discussion, it ~as
moved by AldPrrnan Hateike and seconded by Alderrian Szabo to deny the
S&10ol District #63' s request for a tap-on to the City's sanitary sewer
,on the west side .of Potter Roado It ms moved by Alderman Bonag11idi and
