CALL rro OHDEH: The regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Des Plaines was called to orrter by
Mayor Herbert H. Ilehrel at 8:05 P.M. The meeting opened with a ~rayer
by Rev. Ernest Grant, associate pastor of the First Congregatidnal Chnrch
follow~d by the pled~e of allegiance to the flag. ·
ROLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following aldermen
present: Leer, Czubakowski, Wagner, Swanson,
French, Martin, nonaguidi, Rnteike, Prickett.
Present also were City Co~ptrollcr Tilict~, Police~Cap~~in llintz, Fire
Marshall Arndt, Fire Captain llaag, Assistant Comnissioner of Public
Works Schwab, Builning Cornnissioner Schuepfer, City Erigineer Fletcher,
and City Attorney DiLeonardi.
There being a quorum present, the me~ting ~as in order.
MINUTES: It was moved by Alderman Prickett and secon~ed
by Alder~an Rateike that the Minutes of the
regular meeting df February 7, 1966, be approved as written. Corrections
were made as follows: Page two, second paragraph, cl1ange Alderman Ilolek
to Alderman Rateike; Page six, first paragraph, add the name of Alderman
Prickett to line 7 followtng Alderman French; Page twelve, last paragraph,
remove words "Sine Die". J'fter corrections Motion Carried. It -was moved
by Alderman Prickett and seconded by Alderman Martin that the :Minntes of
Uie adjonrned meeting of February 14, 1966, l:le [J)proved as written.
A correction in paragraph entitle<t "Explanation of Ordinance M-7-66"
by anding "of notice of election" following (2) Date of Publication.

Fire Marshall Arnot reported that a general
alarm call was answered Saturday for a fire
at 9116 Ballard Road, which is a new
aparti:10nt building in the North Maine Fire
Protection District area.
