MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, HELD IN THE ELEANOR ROHRBACH MEMORIAL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, DES PLAINES CIVIC CENTER, MONDAY, APRIL 1, 1985 CALL T.0 ORDER: The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Des Plaines was called to order by Mayor John E. Seitz at 8:13 P.M. in the Eleanor Rohrbach Memorial Council Chambers, Des Plaines Civic Center. ROLL CALL: Roll call indicated the following aldermen present: Muehlenbeck, Kolinski, Volberding, Bonk, Martin, Wetter, Schneck, Kisslinger, Adams, Hardiman, Dini, Chiropolos, Addante, Ward, Zanca. Alderman Gebert was absent. Also present were: City Treasurer Swanson, City Comptroller Blietz, Commissioner of Public Works Matula, Fire Chief Gedroic, Police Chief Alfano, Municipal Development Department Acting Director Trost, Human Resources & Services Department Acting Director Schaer, City Engineer Shrake, and Corporate Attorney Lucansky. PRAYER AND PLEDGE: MINUTES: The opening prayer was given by Pastor Robert VanderRoest, First Christian Reformed Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Moved by Bonk, seconded by Zanca, to approve Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council held March 18, 1985, as published. Motion declared carried. BILLS PAYABLE: Moved by Ward, seconded by Muehlenbeck, to adopt the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES PLAINES THAT THE FOLLOWING BILLS ARE DUE AND PAYABLE AND THAT THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK BE AND ARE HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO MAKE PAYMENT FOR SAME. Total: $540,905.06. Moved by Kolinski, seconded by Bonk, to delete Warrant #38662, DeLeuw, Cather & Co., in the amount of $1,977.93 from the Register of Bills. MAINTENANCE OF STREETS & HIGHWAY: (Supplemental Resolution) FOOT RACE: DRIVEWAY VARIATION, 627 JON LANE: TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY FEES: Moved by Chiropolos, seconded by Martin, to adopt the recommendation of the Engineering Committee that City Clerk be authorized to sign Supplemental Resolution in the amount of $762,317.50, MFT Funds, for repairs and maintenance of City streets and highways (1985). Motion declared carried. Moved by Volberding, seconded by Hardiman, to adopt the recommendation of the Building Code Committee to grant request for driveway variance to 18' at 627 Jon Lane (D.
