S. 14 from Des Plaines to Grace - land Avenues. It is ture that the allotment has been made but the highways to be im- proved have not beendecided upon. You might like to. know that this money is to be expended on what is known as interregional highways and 'not on any local projects. The motion was then made by Alderman Vavri- nek and seconded by Napieralski to approve the bond. Alderman Morava reported of complaints regarding several building ex- cavations onlEcke and Orchard Streets and desired information for eliminating these hazards. Inspector Scharringhausen reported that he had written the con- struction company that the building permits expire next week and inquired what they intended to do re arding same. He said he would report back next council meeting. City Enginee Fletcher reported the plans on repairing Miner and Ellin - wood Streets had been approved by the State Department and -that-bids for this project would be received. The motion was made by Alderman Vavrinek and seconded by Johnson to adverti4 for bids to be returned at the March 3rd Council meeting. The motion was voted u on by acclamation whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.
