CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Des Plaines was called to order by Mayor John E. Seitz at 8:30 P.M. in the Eleanor Rohrbach Memorial Council Chambers, Des Plaines Civic Center. ROLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following Aldermen present: Muehlenbeck, Kolinski, Dwiel, Kehe, Ensign, Wetter, Prellberg, Kisslinger, Adams, Erbach, Tomaszewski, Dini, Chiropolos, Bonaguidi, Ward, Egan. Also present were: City Comptroller Blietz, Commissioner of Public Works Matula, Acting Health Director McIntosh, Fire Chief Gedroic, Police Chief Alfano, Building Commissioner Trost, Acting City Engineer Crowley, Planning and Zoning Director Richardson, Environmental Officer Lindahl, Personnel Director Schaer and City Attorney Smith. PRAYER AND PLEDGE: PRESENTATION, ENVIRONMENTAL PATCHES: MINUTES: BILLS PAYABLE: CLAIMS CONTRACT: PRAIRIE AVENUE GUARD RAIL: The meeting opened with prayer by Rev. Charles Cooper of Golf Road Baptist Church, following by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Mr. Herman Kerst, Chairman of the Environmental Control Commission and Mr. Philip Lindahl, Environmental Control Officer presented environmental patches to scout groups in connection with the Des Plaines River clean up. Moved by Kehe, seconded by Erbach, to adopt the Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council held November 16, 1981, as published. Motion declared carried. DEDICATION, PORTION OF MARY STREET: Moved by Erbach, seconded by Tomaszewski, to adopt the recommendation of the Municipal Development Committee, to approve Dedication of portion of Mary Street, and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk sign plat. Motion declared carried. POLICE DEPARTMENT Moved by Prellberg, seconded by Kehe, to adopt the EQUIPMENT: recommendation of the Police Committee, to authorize Video and Sound Service, Inc., 8609 W. Cermak Road, North Riverside, Illinois, to install one RCA six hour VHS Recorder with a wired 9 -function remote control unit for Police Department scaning system in the amount of $1,160. FEDERAL SURPLUS Moved by Prellberg, seconded by Kehe, to adopt the PROPERTY PROGRAM: recommendation of the Police Committee, to authorize the Mayor to sign application of Federal Property Assist- ance Program for purchase of surplus uniforms for the Police Department and other equipment.
