MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS,
HELD IN THE COUNCIL ROOM, MONDAY,
DECEMBER 27. 19549 AT 7:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kenneth G1 Meyer who presided
with Alderman Hansen, Schubert, Schallawitz, Behrel, Harm, Auck, Prickett, Dahl,
Blume, and McKay responding to roll call.
LETTER TO CLERK TO CALL SPECIAL MEETING:
Pursuant to the provisions of Secthon 11, Chapter 2, of the Municipal Code of the
City of Des .Plaines, I hereby request you to call a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Des Plaines at 7:30 P.M., December 27, 1954, to consider the
question of adopting an ordinance authorizing the issuance of general obligation
bonds in the amount of S116,000.00 as follows:
$77,000.00 - South Fire Station Bonds
$21,000.00 - Fire Equipment Bonds
x$18,000.00 - Fire Station Remodeling Bonds
Also, please remind the Aldermen of the meeting of the Council sitting as a Committee
of the whole to be held December 28 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mayor's Office for further
work on the appropriation ordinance.

On motion by Alderman Hansen and seconded by Prickett the Coancil approved the
ordinance be placed on file seven days in the City Clerk's Office before final
approval.

following ordinance entitled:

BORROWING OF MONEY AND THE ISSUIN
OF BONDS BY THE CITY OF DES PLAI S,
ILLINOIS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,00
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADDING TO AND
REMODELING THE MINER STREET FIRE I
STATION AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY
AND COLLECTION OF A DIRECT ANNUAL
TAX FOR THE PAYMENT OF PRINCIPAL
AND INTEREST OF SAID BONDS.
On motion by Alderman Blume and seconded by Behrel the Council1 approved the
ordinance be placed on file seven days in the City Clerk's fice before final
approval.
Alderman Wolf made his appearance at this time.
ADJOURNMENT. The motion was made by Alderman Dahl and seconded by Hansen to
adjourn. The motion was voted upon by acclamation and the Mayor declared the
motion carried.
