Behrel at 8:03 P.M. ROLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following aldermen present: Koplos, Szabo, Kehe, Olen, Bolek, Chase, Kisslinger, Hinde, Birchfield, Erbach, Swanson, Sarlo, Meyer, Seitz, Abrams, Ward. Aerial Tower The meeting opened with prayer by Rev. Ernest Grant, associate pastor of First Congregational Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Moved by Birchfield, seconded by Meyer, to approve the Minutes of the regular meeting held May 6, 1974. Corrections: Page four, paragraph five, line four following the word "Funds", add "waiving the usual bid procedures" Page five, Paragraph one, line 10, add (Ritchel's Inc) following Slurry, and line 11, following Program, add "Joint Venture of Allied Chemical Corporation and". Following correction, motion declared carried. Moved by Meyer, seconded by Sarlo, to adopt the recommenda- tion of Beautification and Forestry Committee to award the bid for Trailer Mounted Tree Sprayer to Permalawn, Inc. for the sum of $5,626.25, the low bidder. BEAUTIFICATION Moved by Meyer, seconded by Sarlo, to adopt the recommenda- Phhse III tion of Beautification and Forestry Committee to authorize the Mayor to negotiate with Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co. officials for the removal of three all -day spaces on Parking Lot #8 on the south side of Miner Street, west of Graceland Avenue, and further to authorize the Public Works Department to complete Phase III 1974 Beautification Program, at a total cost of $1,627.00, waiving the usual bid procedures following receipt of approval from Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co.
