OFFICIAL REPORTS. The -Deputy Clerk presented the June report from City Treasurer, and July report from Building Commissioner. Alderman Tures made the following report: Your Committee on Water has investigated and found that should the property involved be annexed to Des Plaines, the City has the right and responsibility to furnish water to the area. Having an independent water company within the city is not advisable and could lead to a situation the same as experienced in Orchard Place. We, therefore recommend: that the request for franchise From Citizens Waycinden Company be denied. ADOPT KATHLEEN DRIVE RESOLUTION. On a motion by Alderman Bell and seconded by Blume the Council adopted resolution for construction street pavement on Kathleen Drive to connect Elmhurst Road and sidewalk in Elmhurst Road from Dempster Street -for 1123 Feet north. ADOPT RAND ROAD RESOLUTION.
