MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING HELD IN THE ELEANOR ROHRBACH MEMORIAL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, DES PLAINES CIVIC CENTER, MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 1986 CALL TO ORDER: The Public Hearing held in pursuant to legal notice to consider the proposed issuance by the City of Des Plaines of its $1,500,000 Industrial Development Revenue Bonds, the proceeds there of to be used to finance the construction of an addition to existing facilities of the Company at 2140 Wolf Road, Des Plaines (Chicago Aerial Survey, Inc.) Illinois, and in the acquisition and installation of equipment therein to be used for producing, among other things, computerized inventory and information systems for master planning and automated facilities management, was called to order by Mayor John E. Seitz at 8:17 P.M. in the Eleanor Rohrbach Memorial Council Chambers, Des Plaines Civic Center. ROLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following aldermen present: Muehlenbeck, Koplos, Volberding, Bonk, Martin, Wetter, Schneck, Kisslinger, Adams, Hardiman, Gebert, Sarlo, Chiropolos, Zanca. Aldermen Addante and Hervas were absent. Mayor Seitz asked if there was any public input regarding this matter. There was none, so the Public Hearing on this matter was adjourned at 8:18 P.M. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, HELD IN THE ELEANOR ROHRBACH MEMORIAL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, DES PLAINES CIVIC CENTER, MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 1986 CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Des Plaines, Illinois, was called to order by Mayor John E. Seitz at 8:07 P.M. in the Eleanor Rohrbach Memorial Council Chambers, Des Plaines Civic Center on Monday, August 18, 1986. ROLL CALL: Roll Call indicated the following Aldermen present: Muehlenbeck, Koplos, Volberding, Bonk, Martin, Wetter, Kisslinger, Hardiman, Gebert, Sarlo, Chiropolos, Addante, Hervas, Zanca. PRESENTATION: Des Plaines HistoricalSociety Board Member Mary Childers presented a framed 4 -color poster "Whispered Impressions of Nature" from the museum's first annual Artist in Residence program this past April, to Mayor Seitz. Mayor Seitz acknowledged the gift and expressedhis appreciation for this program. THACKER ST.: APPEAL OF LAW SUIT, WAYCINDEN PARK: REGIONAL AIRPORT REFERENDUM: Moved by Bonk, seconded by Chiropolos, to adopt the recommendation of the Public Works Committee that City Clerk be authorized to advertise for alternate bids for either: 1) demolition of treatment plant only, or 2) demolition of treatment plant and removal of adequate ground to create a detention facility, at property location at 180 E. Thacker Street. Bidders will be required to submit with their bids a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the lessor amount if both projects are bid and bidders will be required to adjust the bid bond to the higher amount, if necessary, within 10 days after City Council awards bid.
