TEMPORARY PARKING LOT: PARKING AMENDMENT PEARSON ST./ ELLINWOOD TO PRAIRIE AV. Mayor Sherwood declared that the City Council was now resolved into a Committee of the Whole. Engineering Committee - Alderman Chiropolos, Chair Discussion was held regarding the providing of parking spaces for shoppers and commuters in the downtown area if the Ellinwood Parking Lot is constructed and the Behrel Parking Deck is demolished, along with what funding should be used for the projects. Alderman Arredia requested that the record show that the City Council addressed the Chamber of Commerce concerns regarding parking for the Des Plaines merchants in their letter dated October 26, 1995 and the Council has determined there should be no parking problems.
