01/06/1986CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Des Plaines, Illinois, was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Kisslinger at 8:03 P.M. in the Eleanor Rohrbach Memorial Council Chambers, Des Plaines Civic Center on Monday, January 6, 1986 ROLL CALL: Also present were: City Treasurer Fredricks, City Comptroller Blietz, Commissioner of Public Works Matula, Police Chief Kozenczak, Fire Chief Clark, Human Resources and Services Department Acting Director Donahue, Municipal Department Acting Director Shrake, and City Attorney Smith. ZONING CASE Moved by Kisslinger, seconded by Zanca, to adopt the 85 -62 -R, recommendation of the Municipal Development Committee to 825, 835 & concur with the Des Plaines Zoning Board of Appeals re 841 CENTER: Case 85 -62 -R to grant request for rezoning from C -4 Central Business District to R -5 Central Core Multiple Family District for property located at 825, 835 and 841 Center Street (DiMaso & Son, Inc.), and City Attorney be authorized to draft necessary ordinance. CONSTRUCTION Moved by Kisslinger, seconded by Zanca, to adopt the SUPERVISION recommendation of the Municipal Development Committee SERVICES/ that City enter into agreement with A. M. Kinney TRANSIT Associates, Inc., 801 Davis Street, Evanston, IL 60201, CENTER: for construction supervision services, for a fee of $14,376 (to come from grant money for project); City Attorney be authorized to draft necessary agreement and authorize Mayor and City Clerk to execute same. SNOW PLOWING Moved by Bonk, seconded by Addante, to adopt the AGREEMENT/ recommendation of the Public Works Committee that Mayor WHEELING and City Clerk be authorized to sign agreement with TOWNSHIP: Wheeling Township for plowing and salting of Forest River Subdivision (River Road and Foundry Road) for a yearly reimbursement of $6,500 ($2,500 per mile @ 2.6 miles). Motion declared carried. ADVERTISING Moved by Zanca, seconded by Volberding, to adopt the FOR SQUAD recommendation of the Public Safety Committee that the CARS: City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for ten (10) squad cars for Police Department, returnable by 3 P.M. on January 24, 1986. Moved by Muehlenbeck, seconded by Sarlo, that Ordinance M -62 -85 and M -63 -85 be withdrawn from Second Reading and referred back to Finance Committee for further review and clarification.
